• “Small businesses added 25,400 net new jobs during 2004, the latest period studied.” • “During 2006, Colorado had an estimated 550,100 small businesses, of which 153,400 were employer firms.” • “Those small businesses employed 52 percent of the state’s non-farm private work force (during 2004).” Small businesses have clearly added a strong element of growth to our fine state, and even more so to our excellent city. At Colorado Springs new homes we are confident that small businesses – even in the midst of a down market and slower economic times – will play a key role in helping to reverse market trends. After all, Henderson concludes “Small business is what makes neighborhoods, communities, and states strong. Small business creates jobs, develops innovative products and services and brings diversity to our economy.” We know small businesses are nothing to take lightly, and running one is usually extremely trying, but at Colorado Springs new homes we look forward to the role they will continue to play in our city’s ultimate housing turnaround.
