Village Center-Estates Builder
Richmond American Homes is one of the largest national
builders, and they have a home office in Denver. Even in a slower market, they
are aggressively getting land possession and getting good deals on the land,
trying to pass the savings on to the customers. They are focusing more and more
on customer satisfaction, and they offer a strong 10-year structural warranty.
They are the only builder in Village Center-Estates, and they offer a great price point
ranging from $250,000 to $320,000.

Schools/districts
Monument is becoming one of the most desirable places to
live in the region thanks in part to its solid school district, Lewis-Palmer School District 38.
Grace Best Elementary
School is named after Mrs. Grace Conrad Best, who was a District 38 teacher
for 24 years. It is a learning community built to elicit the each student's
greatest potential.
Lewis-Palmer Middle
School is a John Irwin School of Excellence, which means it rates in the
top eight percent of all Colorado middle schools according to the Colorado
Department of Education. It is also a High Performance Power Library School,
having been recognized for its outstanding Library Media Center.
Lewis-Palmer
High School strives to create an environment that emphasizes the value of
learning rather than grades. The staff encourages collaborative discussion in
the classroom and focuses on celebrating individual student success.
Things To Do
Parks/open space
There are no parks in Village Center-Estates, but large half-acre lots
are available and help make up for this deficit. There is also a lot of open
space in the community.
Dining

dining atmospheres including Rosie's Diner, The Coffee Cup Café, La Casa Fiesta,
O'Malley's Steak Pub, and Broiier Room.
Entertainment
The recently-opened PINZ Bowling Center offers a great
source of fun for families and groups of friends. The Rock Climbing Center is
the region's newest indoor climbing gym; they sponsor rock climbing parties in
a fun atmosphere. The nearby Haunted Mines offer a great thrill during the
October Halloween season. There are several world-class Colorado ski resorts
within 2 hours of Monument. Residents in this part of town also have quick

Shopping
While Monument offers standard shopping, much of the best
shopping is outside the town in main Colorado Springs and Castle Rock. A 15-minute
drive to the south yields The Shops at Briargate, REI, Chapel Hills Mall, Best
Buy, Target and Barnes and Noble. About twenty minutes to the north, residents
enjoy the Outlets at Castle Rock, featuring stores like Nike, Polo Ralph
Lauren, Gap, Kitchen Collection and Borders, among many others.

Village Center-Estates residents have the opportunity to enjoy many
of the trails around Monument Rock, for which the town is named. The trails are
conducive to horseback riding, dog walking and jogging. Other nearby trails
support extensive hiking and biking. Palmer Lake is a great fishing
destination, and it also provides easy access to the Sante Fe Regional Trail.
Residents can also enjoy golf at any of several public and private courses. The
Tri-Lakes YMCA Family Center is scheduled to open this spring, providing
basketball, swimming, racquetball and other fitness opportunities. Of course,
residents may also enjoy the excellent recreation opportunities to the south,
including visiting the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and the Cheyenne
