Colorado Springs New Homes: Job ConfidenceThe Colorado Springs New Homes area is, in most ways, consistent with national trends in both the real estate and economic market. So it should come as reassurance that "Despite a troubled U.S. economy, 25 percent of job seekers believe they'll find jobs within two months," according to the Colorado Springs Business Journal Blog. The 25 percent is nine percent higher than in 2006. The median job search length for unemployed seekers is four months.

I think this is a refreshing bit of news because, while the overall economy has slowed since 2006, confidence in employment has actually gone up since then. This is a great example that the "pundits" and "talking heads" and the media as a whole are not necessarily the bona fide experts; indeed, the forecasts always seem to be a little less rosy when things slow down, so this number is a bright spot reflective perhaps of a forthcoming boost to our economy.
