Colorado Springs New Homes: If a Blog Falls in the Woods, and No One Comments on it, Does it Make a Sound?

Take a peak at Seth Godin's blog -- his readership is astronomical, he's linked to dozens (hundreds?) of times a day. And he doesn't even allow comments. By my stats (granted, it's only one blog and not a ton of traffic, but it's respectable levels) only about 1 in 100 visitors ever leave a comment. A LOT of people never leave a comment. One thing you may want to do Brian, have Mary or someone at RSSPieces check to see how your ping/trackbacks are set up. I got a ping back from the link on your RISMedia post, but not from here. Linking back to other blogs will help your readership increase, which in turn will increase the chances of comments and more importantly your blogs "reach". If it's not sending pings, people likely won't know you ever linked to them. You wrote: "But the reason I blog is so I can constantly provide my audience - you - with practical information about the Colorado Springs New Homes market. So I know I am doing a good job because I have remained loyal to my intentions and my readers by providing content every day." That's it, you get it. Keep it up! Comment from: Mariana Wagner [Visitor] Hi Brian, I have found that the most comments that I get on my blog are from other bloggers. For the most part, a home buyer/seller is going to read what you have to write with little to no input. This is to be expected and (like Jay said) It is about the consumer - not the comments. :) If I want comments, I write on blogger-blogger focused sites.
