Colorado Springs New Homes Heating Bill IncreaseSorry to be the bearer of bad news, but starting next month, many residents in the Colorado Springs New Homes area will see an increase in their heating bills. Customers of Aquila - the company that serves "about 36,000 customers in Black Forest, Monument, Palmer Lake, Woodmoor, Fountain and Woodland Park" according to The Gazette - will "see winter heating bills rise to $154.56 a month from $120.29," on average.

This comes after Aquila issued $113 credits to residential customers just this month, but the upcoming rise in gas costs is a reflection of the current cost of natural gas, which always seems to be in flux.

Not to mention the scheduled increase in residential water rates...
