A recent Gazettearticle
points to a possible improvement in a local Colorado Springs New Homes area
school district, with indications pointing to "East Middle School opening next
August as a math and science magnet school." The school, located within
Colorado Springs School District 11, is presently closed for the 2007 school
year. Last month, however, a committee approved EMS for reopening as a magnet
school. The plan will go into effect pending further approval, sufficient
funding (a grant has been written specifically for EMS) and structural renovations
to the school.
At Colorado
Springs New Homes we are proud to be involved with so many fine school
districts including District 11, which is our area's largest school district.
We always try and keep our ears up for school district news, especially regarding
improvements and upgrades. So the prospect of a math and science magnet school
in District 11 is very exciting to us, and if it works out it will be a nice
boost to the families, students and Colorado Springs New Homes neighborhoods in
that area.
