Colorado Springs New Homes: Earth Hour

Hey Colorado Springs New Homes area residents, mark your calendars and get your candles ready -- Earth Hour takes place tomorrow night, Saturday, March 29, from 8-9 p.m. Earth Hour is an event created by the World Wildlife Fund wherein "millions of people around the world [make] a statement about climate change by turning off [their] lights" for an hour from 8-9 p.m. in each local time zone. According to Earth Hour US and The CSBJ: - "more than 100 cities across North America will participate" - Earth Hour began in Sydney, Australia, last year - in that hour, "It was estimated to have cut Sydney's electricity consumption between 2.1 percent and 10.2 percent...with as many as 2.2 million people participating" Now, there are not 2.2 million people in Colorado Springs, cleary, but we still have the chance to participate and cut our city's electricity consumption significantly, even if it's only for an hour tomorrow night.
