Colorado Springs New Homes brings you a good foreclosure numberAccording to an article from the Rocky Mountain News, Colorado Springs New Homes is pleased to pass on to you one promising foreclosure statistic: “The number of real estate owned, or REO, filings dropped by 45 percent in the first 10 months of the year, compared with the same period in 2006.” Real estate owned refers to foreclosed homes that are taken back by the lenders, who then sell the homes. According to the article, Colorado “saw 10.4 REO filings per 1,000 households in the first 10 months of the year, compared with 18.9 filings per 1,000 households during the same period in 2006.”

News like this confirms what we already promote here at Colorado Springs New Homes: promising news does exist in the midst of seemingly always bad news. The ratio as reported by Rocky Mountain News is just one example of many past and future positive reports. As always, we encourage you to keep your eyes peeled for good news about the national and local housing market; we will do the same at Colorado Springs New Homes.
