Colorado Springs New Homes Biodiesel Fleet Here's another proverbial feather for the Colorado Springs New Homes' community cap: "Top municipal BioDiesel Fleet in the nation," according to a Government Fleet magazine ranking. And according to The Colorado Springs Business Journal Blog post highlighting the honor, our city was also ranked 17th overall for Public Sector Alternative-Fueled Fleet rankings. This essentially means that our buses and other large, fuel-fed equipment runs on biodiesel, which is environmentally friendly and has also prevented "more than 5 million pounds of carbon dioxide" from polluting the atmosphere.

This is one more reason to be excited about our city! We are already big on preserving open space and committing funding to renewable energy, and this is just another facet of our city's environmentally-friendly mindset. I know I would rather live in a clean city than a polluted one, and the Colorado Springs New Homes area is definitely turning itself into a fine example of the former.
