It is being developed by the Banning Lewis Ranch Management Co., who has offices in Colorado Springs and Newport Beach, CA. There is a balance of old-west and new designs, with balconies off the master bedrooms in the bigger-sized homes, for instance; every home will also have a very high-speed fiber optic internet connection preinstalled. The neighborhood is designed to feel open and friendly, with a small-town "Hi, neighbor!" atmosphere. There is a wide variety of things to do - pools, parks and trails are all available for enjoyment, and plans for in-community retail, office and entertainment will only increase the variety.

John Laing Homes is a national builder with one of the highest customer-satisfaction ratings of all builders. All of their homes have character, both indoor and outdoor, and are built to entertain family and friends. Their homes in Banning Lewis Ranch range in size from 1,560 to 2,100 square feet and feature two to three bedrooms; we are currently trying to get a price point for their homes.

Todays Homes is a leading builder in Pueblo, CO. They were founded in 1999, build in seven communities across Southern Colorado, and are a production builder with good value. They offer homes in Banning Lewis Ranch ranging in size from 1,180 to 1,530 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2-car garages; we are currently trying to get a price point for their homes.

Capital Pacific Homes is a national builder with a strong reputation as a leader in the industry. They build homes with good quality, passion and integrity. They are driven by customer satisfaction and are one of the original developers of Banning Lewis Ranch. Their homes here range in size from 1,190 to 1,698 square feet; we are currently trying to get a price point for their homes.

Classic Homes is a great local home builder offering very unique designs and floor plans, which are open to customization. Finished basements come standard in Classic Homes. They work hard, listen to their customers' needs, and back up their quality and workmanship with a great 8-year structural warranty. Their homes in Banning Lewis Ranch range in size from 1,400 to 1,800 square feet; we are currently trying to get a price point for their homes.

Schools/districts

The Banning Lewis Ranch Academy is the great neighborhood K-8 charter school in the first village of BLR, Northtree. The staff here partners with parents to create a safe environment in which students can strive for academic excellence, develop strong character and become lifelong learners. Apparently there are plans to build more schools in Banning Lewis Ranch as it expands.

Skyview Middle School is home to the Eagles, who live by the anagrammed vision Everyone Accepting responsibility, Growing as individuals, Learning new things and Experiencing success in a Safe and healthy environment.

Nearby Sand Creek High School provides a safe, respectful environment that encourages students to pursue excellence in academics, learning, citizenship and community. They believe that proper education is the responsibility of students, parents, staff and the community.


Things To Do

Parks/open space

Banning Lewis Ranch is intent on making nature easily accessible to all its residents. There are many trails and pasillos designed for walking and jogging. Many parks are located throughout the neighborhood and feature "Adventure Play," meaning there are multi-level degrees of difficulty within each park. The example they give is Climbers Park, where a series of climbing boulders increases in difficulty, allowing for children to conquer new territory as they grow.

Dining

Banning Lewis Ranch residents are just a few miles away from the chance to enjoy a great variety of popular restaurants including Old Chicago, Outback Steakhouse, Red Robin, Mimi's Café, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Cold Stone Creamery, Panera Bread, Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Chili's. Also in the mix are a few hidden gems including AI Sushi, Burger City, Leo's Pizzeria and Fox & Hound Restaurant.

Entertainment

The Cinemark 16/IMAX is nearby and offers one of the best movie-going experiences in town. The World Arena Event Center is about 15-20 minutes away and often features some of the best athletic, musical and family-friendly displays of entertainment in the area. The Sky Sox minor league baseball club plays its home games at Security Service Field, which is about five minutes away.

Shopping

Nearby shopping centers include the Falcon Town Shopping Center as well as the Powers Corridor, which offers an incredible amount of high-quality shopping within a two-mile stretch. Stores include Best Buy, Super Target, CostCo, Whole Foods Market, Dick's Sporting Goods, Lowe's, J.C. Penney, Men's Wearhouse, Pier 1 imports, World Market, Office Max, GNC, PETsMART, Wild Oats Natural Marketplace and Staples.

Recreation

The recently-opened VillaSport recreation club - just about five minutes down the road - offers a terrific variety of aerobic, athletic and fitness opportunities. The Antler Creek golf course is about two miles away, as are several fine walking trails. Of course, residents may also enjoy the excellent recreation opportunities Colorado Springs is known for, including visiting the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
