Flying Horse is meant to be The Broadmoor of the north, combining luxury, community and recreation into a seemingly all-inclusive neighborhood. The architecture, free time options, and championship golf course all make Flying Horse the premier neighborhood of the north. Schools/districts
Discovery Canyon Campus is the official academic campus of Flying Horse. It is located in a natural canyon at the north end of the community and is an affiliate of Academy School District 20. Plans include student capacities of 600
for elementary school, 1,000 for middle school, and 1,200 for high
school.
Discovery Canyon is one of the top reasons why families are moving to Flying Horse. The campus is within walking distance of all Flying Horse homes and emphasizes a math and science curriculum. If you have children, you just cannot beat that.
As of August 2007, the campus was open to grades K-8. Grades 9-12 are scheduled to open progressively through 2011.
The
Classical Academy is District 20's charter school. It has three campuses
and is the largest K-12 charter school in Colorado with more than 2,600
students. Their emphasis on learning through observation, narration, dialog and
hands-on activity has helped them to consistently place high on academy scoring
tests.

Barefoot Park, located in the Village
of Syrah in Flying Horse, includes a large playing field, playground equipment and an
in-line hockey arena. Frog's Leap Park will be located in Saratoga, a Flying Horse subdivision, and will be a five-acre park.
