What I would like to highlight here is not the fact that the number of jobs has decreased, but that we have still ranked in the top 100 metro areas measured for employment despite a slumping housing market. At Colorado Springs New Homes, we are determined to bring you good news in spite of bad news, and we are certain that optimism will help see us through hard times. Together, Colorado Springs and Denver account for: • 63 percent of our state’s population • 66 percent of the state’s jobs • 71 percent of the state’s gross domestic product The role we play in our state’s economy is extremely significant, even in spite of a decrease in numbers, and I want to personally thank you on behalf of Colorado Springs New Homes for the role you play in maintaining and improving our city’s economy.
